1. It’s simple to make use of
This was the most important criteria for me. I needed a label maker that I could can take out of the box and use immediately, without having to read the instructions. The process of making labels should be quick. The time it took each label maker to print a label was very different. One model took 15 seconds to print, which is an incredibly long time to have to wait for a tiny label to be printed. However, the winner model was only 5 seconds long to print exactly the same two words.
2. Material Design/Quality
I wanted an item that wasn’t heavy or bulky , but felt sturdy when I held it in my hands. The high-end quality of each manufacturer’s tape was also important to me. Some tapes looked shiny and elegant, while others were dull and matte. I also wanted to know if they were easy to use after printing, i.e. Could I peel the backing paper of the labels without difficulty or would it take two tweezers and the aid of a flashlight?
3. Many Activities
I like a simple label maker, as mentioned in the past. I don’t want to print fancy templates, and I don’t require “fun” fonts but occasionally I’d like to change the font size or capitalization, and I’d like to be able to do this without the need to read the entire instruction manual.
